Why doesn’t the Soul “Stand up” to the Ego

Because of what the ego is, it believes it has to fightfor attention because attention is what it believes it needs to survive.  It believes that without attention it will die.  This is partially true.

The soul simply does not care.  It does not fight, it does not resist.  It simply exists.  It experiences.  Everything is an experience for it – both “good” and “bad”.

A very good friend of mine once asked me: “Why did Jesus just let himself be killed if he had all those godlike powers?”  His soul was in control, not his ego, that’s why. 

Servant or Slave?

The mind is either the servant of the soul or the slave of the ego.  In which state is your mind?

What a beautiful day

What a beautiful day it is today.  The sky is so blue, the birds are singing, the music is playing.  It feels so nice. It IS so nice.

It’s Done

So it’s all done.  I’ve transfered the content of my dedicated hosting service to WebPress.  What an amazing world.  So quick and easy it was too!  I saw breifly that my old content is indeed old.  I need to update it.  I’ll do that next.  ;o)

Observing the Ego

The observation of the egoic self is such an experience.  To watch, passively, noticing.  And then to notice that one is entirely surrounded and absorbed by the ego!  How did that happen?!!  More observing.  More meditation.
